After a long day at the market the people of the surrounding villages have to get home. They push and fight to get onto trucks that will ferry them home with their goods. The weather is hot and the air is filled with dust, there is no water except for the river. The thick brown rolling sludge that doubles as the motorcycle wash and laundromat, and I’m sure the bathroom. The trucks are packed to the hilt, and it amazes me when they actually start and roll off into the distance.

If you ever wondered what happens to all those old dresses the kids don’t want anymore? I have seen them. They are adorned by many young girls in Ounaminthe, Haiti. They aren’t going to a wedding, they are walking through a dump, that is right next to the market. To most, this is their only clothing, I have seen them day after day in the same clothes. So when you are wondering what to do with anything you might want to throw away, look to donate, there are so many needs out there. We cannot understand what real needs are until we look into the eyes of these mothers, families and children, who have nothing.
The simple act of giving something that we would normally throw away can change a life somewhere.

On Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting The Plain Truth Band from South Africa. They are an amazing group of people who love the Lord and know how to ROCK!!
I want to thank them for the benefit show they performed for Caring4Haiti. We had a packed house at CFC Sarasota for an incredibly intimate and powerful show. All the proceeds went to Caring4Haiti so we can continue our mission of bringing Hope and Help to a country in need.

Last winter I had the opportunity to travel to Ounaminthe, Haiti and be part of a mission trip for Caring4Haiti. I will be going back this July and taking my family with me. We will be ministering to orphaned children and the poor in Ounaminthe.
The needs in Haiti are unbelievable, and we will be taking food, medicine, games, and love so we can make a difference while we are there. We will be there for one week and will try to make as big an impact as we can. Caring4Haiti has purchased some land in Ounaminthe, and we will be there to help start of the building process on the property. We will be building the Haiti Dream Center, a place for orphaned children and the center of our ministry outreach in Ounaminthe.
This is Lenny, he broke his pelvis and lost his arm in the Haiti earthquake. Please click on the image to view a short slideshow of the children you will be helping.
I am asking for financial support in my mission trip to Haiti. If you would like to be a part of this mission please donate by clicking the button in the side bar.

After years of denying my little girl will be anything other than my little girl, the moment of truth has come. Sydney has reached the final year of middle school and is now a beautiful young lady. With a new dress (maybe a little short for her father’s liking) and her friends by her side, the gorgeous gang of four set off for the eighth grade dance.
